Last night I had the difficult task of saying goodbye to my best friend, Alyssa. She and her mother planned a 43 hour road trip to Tucson, Arizona, to move Alyssa back to school. Unfortunately for me, I am now best friend-less on the East coast.
I put off saying goodbye for as long as I could yesterday but figuring that Alyssa and her mother had to be up at 4 am I knew I had to face the music. What I thought was going to be a tear-filled, drawn out, sappy send-off ended up being a long hug and a “see you tomorrow on iChat.” (more…)

I’ve officially finished a month here as SilverTech’s newest intern and in just four weeks I’ve learned so much about social media and technology in today’s marketplace.
SilverTech always aims to be ahead of the curve so, in addition to blogging, I’ve been working on quite a few projects. I’ve recently become friends with Excel and the fax machine, as well as the company’s Flickr account (there are some great pictures of the iPad giveaway that can also be found on Facebook!) (more…)

A couple months ago, a colleague of mine and I attended the first ever Drupal Camp NH, a beginner’s seminar on Drupal. Now, I’m assuming some of you are probably wondering what “Drupal” is other than a really cool sounding word. Basically, it is the code for a website that allows you to maintain and control the website’s content and design through an administration area – also known as a content management system (CMS). This past Fourth of July was one of fireworks, food, and forgotten items. Almost everything was found later on, but unfortunately for one of my closest friends, his phone was not so lucky.
If you asked him, his faithful phone “just grew legs and walked away.” Well, legs or not, it was apparent that his Voyager wouldn’t be walking back anytime soon. He was devastated; that phone had always been around. A few days after the incident my best friend and I met him at the mall to see his brand new…BlackBerry. (more…)

First… this is long post because a few words just cannot describe what I saw at the PAX East Conference this past weekend. Sorry…but read on and you will quickly understand. Trust me.
Before I get too deep into this, let me describe how I can relate to the gaming industry. I am a pretty normal (or what I think is normal) gaming person. I have PS3, the Wii, and at one time in my life played PC games. I play the Wii mostly with my kids here and there. I am a single game type of player… I get the new hottest game like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and play it when the entire house is asleep and all my other responsibilities are complete… So, in other words…I rarely get an opportunity to play. Manchester, NH – It was a standing room only crowd at SNHU’s Academic Center Tuesday night as The New Hampshire Creative Club presented the 2010 Iron Design Challenge.

The three creative companies: bGG Advertising, a full service advertising Agency in Manchester; SilverTech, Inc, an online marketing strategy agency also located in Manchester; Piehead Productions, an online strategies agency from Portsmouth. Each team worked feverishly for an hour to create a full marketing campaign for a product announced just minutes earlier, then delivered a presentation to an audience pitching their concept. “This is one of our most popular events – the teams are willing to put themselves out there, not knowing what they have to work with. They take the challenge seriously, but still keep their sense of humor fully engaged. This is what Creative Club events are all about!” said Chris Conroy, a member of the NH Creative Club. (more…)
