SilverTech President Earns Good Samaritan Award

SilverTech President Nick Soggu has recently been awarded the Good Samaritan Award in the category of Business and Industry by the Pastoral Counseling Services. The PCS states, “The Good Samaritan Award is designed to honor individuals who have gone above and beyond what is expected at some personal risk for the good of others.”

The award is given to one recipient in each of the five categories:  Business and Industry, Media and the Arts, Medicine and Healing, Religion, and Education. The Pastoral Counseling Services has an open nomination policy for the award and received many nominations for each category so the criteria required for recipients is very selective. Joyce Herndon of PCS stated, “Recipients of the award must unselfishly improve the community in New Hampshire.” In addition, recipients are required to “go the extra mile in order to improve the life of others,” make a commitment to helping the community become a better place to live and work, have compassion, and be courageous in their acts and deeds.

The 15th Annual Good Samaritan Awards Banquet will take place October 20th at the Executive Court in Manchester. Each year approximately 400 guests attend the banquet and the funds raised during the event are used to cover the cost of counseling for those who cannot afford it. The Pastoral Counseling Services aim to help all of those in need without regards to financial status. Congratulations, Nick, for receiving this selective, state-wide award!
